America

Amazing filled with luscious life that no one could dream of. You had a purpose that no one could think of.

Many believe you are full of opportunity and freedom.

Everyone you know is diverse in their own culture and background.

Reality is that you discriminate others and expect to get away with it.

I believe you're two sided, you can either be a blessing or a disgrace to man.

Coming to you, was a life changing experience for the foreigners. They looked to you as their super hero; you were super man and they were the victims.

As those who were born with you encounter disasters, you fail to support their needs...

Then again "America" you are the land of the FREE, but you leave people saying why me! Or even kill me!

  1. This poem, to me, tells me a story. A story of a "great" land who was respected by everyone. Many people looked towards it as a beacon of light and hope, only to find out about its unpleasant counterpart. You tell us the story of America, the America that many people in America see today, a country that has lied in a sense.

  2. I love the shift your poem depicts. Also the way the poem ends on a dark note.
