The Class of Boredom

Va'Dayya Christmas

"So today in class we are going to learn..." Blah, blah, blah. Ugh, just why me? Why does she keep repeating herself, or over elaborating on things we already know? Whatever, I'll continue to ignore her redundant and aggravating speech. And that voice! "Please stop talking." I mumbled, for I longed for the moments that her small lips would come together. For those moments were the best, I had peace of mind well before it was interrupted once again.

"Do you need help?" no... I thought, we don't need help after you just explained what we are doing. Must you have the tendency to talk, and talk, and just talk? Like, why teacher, why? You're doing to much for the little time we have. Actually auto-correct, your assigning to much for us to do in the little time we have. So I think you might want to re-evaluate your whole teaching style. Honestly, this just might not be for you... and that's is ok. It always happens... a career change. It can be an option for you. Thoughts I'd never say because I'll be out of character and my level as a student.

Can you blame, I'm used to everything being fast. Along with the teaching of everything being short and concise, in addition to it being accurate. The college readiness type preparation curriculum. But besides that I'm taught things that will be done in college. While I learn skills to be more efficient, with challenges thrown at me to conquer. I like being challenged it gives me something to work for. It's so exciting to be exposed to a headache maker or energy drainer. Not a mind bore'r. Yes there are times when I'm bored, however it's not everyday. I lean something and I'm engaged  to the college material, and structured experience.

Don't get me wrong, deep down she seems nice. Quite frankly, I observe... Her artwork on her body is  so detailed, and so eye appealing. From the small bird full of direction (in it's eyes), on the woman's head guiding her along in life. The woman so gentle like, so genuine and so stylish with her lovely roses. However the woman is accompanied by a hourglass, meaning her time is limited. On the other side she has a dear who is innocent in the wild. And so mindless to harm in life. Yea she maybe a splinter in my butt ... But she's great... Deep down. She's teaching me how to be respectful, even when I'm strongly biased about learning. Or my opinion in general. So on that note, I'll end by saying thank you for being so persistent-I mean hard to get through-I mean, just strong with stick to your style.

The Effects that different Types Stereos Have on People

Va'Dayya Christmas

The Effects that Different Types Stereos Have on People

What is a stereotype? A statement that is an insult? An assumption on someone or people's character? No according to the dictionary, it is "A generalization, usually exaggerated or over simplified and often offensive, that is to describe or distinguish a group." Meaning in others words a way in which we categorize one another. However, do we truly know what the effects of stereotypes are? Take a minute to actually think of its consequences.

Did you ever think how stereotypes could change someone's natural way of looking at life. And how they should live. Karyn Hall stated in her article "How Stereotypes Affect the Emotionally Sensitive", "stereotype that goes with being emotionally sensitive includes being seen as not serious about business or career, weak as a person, unreliable, over-reactive, high maintenance, and less professional than those who are not viewed as emotionally sensitive." Their statement contributes to the thought that stereotypes have a hindrance on people's mind-set and way of living life. When one is sensitive, especially with their identity, it is very hard for them to live. Meaning, people don't want to be categorized as something they are not, just because of their background. It puts pressure on them to fight to be themselves, and makes question who they are, and who they should be.

Also, stereotypes impairs one's performance. First by, it confirms a threat, along with it's causes of one wanting to avoid stereotypes. second, stereotypes raise self doubt that one may have is constantly being monitored by one's conscience. This makes it impossible for anyone to think, focus, comprehend, and do anything that consist the brain or any sort of activity. People are manipulated to think the constant adaptation to living life is taboo, causing people to experiment with other personalities, rather than their own; in which they were intended to be.

However, "the purpose of stereotypes is to help us know how to interact with others." a statement made by Change minds in their article on stereotypes. This proves that classifications have associations, letting people be able t interpret what others are saying. Along with deciding if someone is good or bad, and choosing how to respond to them. I concur with that claim, because without stereotypes, we wouldn't know about different human activities among the diverse backgrounds. On the hand, this idea back fires when we judge people for doing something outside of their labeled norms. In addition to interacting with others that have no link to their background, it confuses but mostly shocks people. For society has made an image in which they believe we should follow. This causes conflict for them since people view them one way and if they act different they second guess of they should do that again. This results in the person not knowing who they are by the enormous amount of pressure put on them to be something they may not be out to be.

To conclude, stereotypes have classifications and associations amongst people, which gives others a certain image of them. People go through hardship when they are outside of their usual constant activities, and try something new with their identity. When people judge them and pin point out everything they do, it leads people to be self- conscience, and something they are not. Causing someone to consciously think their identities over and over, is threat...
Stereotypes must end!

My Hardship and enjoyment with Writting

I love the opportunity, of being able to move my pen along the lonely lines in my journal.
To feel the release of my inner thoughts come to life on paper. Not just any paper, but the book of my soul. It's such a hassle to write with grammar, and to remember the wri-right punctuation necessary.
